Earning Service hours
Service Hours can be earned by attending meetings, events, or through volunteering. It is up to the SNA member to keep track of their service hours for any event where a sign-in sheet is not (or cannot be) provided. In the FORMS section below, there is a printable Service Hours Log that may be used for such occasions.
*Please note that any hours recorded on the Service Hours Log must be verified by an Executive Board Member or a designated faculty member within 72 hours of the event in order to be credited.

Volunteer Expectations:
- Please be on time and in the correct uniform (CSU scrubs unless otherwise indicated)
- If you are unable to attend an event you've signed up for, please reach out to the point of contact immediately. No-shows reflect poorly on your SNA standing and may result in you being ineligible for volunteering at future events.
- Health Fair volunteers are required to bring all fundamental assessment equipment (stethoscope, BP cuff, penlight, etc.)
- For off-campus events, please fill out the Travel Form and turn it in to any executive board member.

Alternative Service hour credit
The easiest way to earn your required service hours is to attend meetings and events! We do offer a few alternatives for service hours as well:
- Attending a webinar = 1 service hour (limit 1 per semester)
- Proof of blood/plasma donation = 1 service hour (limit 1 per semester)
- Donating to an approved charity (see section below) = 1 service hour (limit 1 per semester)
Approved Charities
SNA donates to several different charities in an effort to give back to our community. If you'd like to donate as an event alternative, please choose from the following:
Make-a-Wish Foundation (Georgia Chapter)
A Friend's House (McDonough)
Pregnancy Resource Center of Henry County
National Federation of the Blind of Georgia
La Gonave Haiti Partnership
Clarkston Community Health Center
Healing Bridge Clinic
Wellspring Women's Program Atlanta GA
Good Shepherd Community Church
United Way of Greater Atlanta (Clayton County Branch)
Reminder: You must provide proof of your donation in order to receive credit (limit 1 per semester). You do NOT need to include the dollar amount of any monetary donation.
